Job Description
The Mental Health Worker provides essential support to clients by offering guidance, resources, and assistance under the supervision of licensed professionals. They utilize their empathetic nature, strong communication skills, and commitment to well-being to help clients navigate their mental health journeys, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support to improve their mental health and overall quality of life.
International SOS Government Medical Services is recruiting Mental Health Workers to support our medical staffing projects New Hampshire.
Depending on our clients’ needs, Mental Health Workers may work in temporary, short-term, or long-term jobs. Recruited personnel might be working alongside our clients’ teams or as part of our own multidisciplinary teams, in secured state facilities, medically remote locations, industrial projects, our own clinics.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the admission procedures including searching for contraband, recording valuables and orientation to the unit or hospital.
- Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Monitor and document clients’ behavior and progress.
- Report significant changes in patient status to assure safety and continuity of care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic sessions.
- Support clients in manage their mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with licensed professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Respond to crises and provide immediate support as needed.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health resources and coping strategies.
- Maintain a save and supportive environment for clients.
- Provide a safe and clean environment as prescribed by standards relating to fire safety and infection control.
- Provide testimony during proceedings to provide support while maintain patient confidentiality.
- Escorting, supporting and supervising patients at appointments, legal proceedings, home placements and other activities as necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Maintaining a positive customer service-oriented attitude by demonstrating
- a professional and courteous demeaner in all interactions and through
- professional appearance.
- Maintaining safe body mechanics while participating in physically,
- demanding and unpredictable and potentially hazardous patient care
- situations such as safely transporting physically aggressive patients.
- Exhibiting a willingness to perform other duties as assigned to ensure
- smooth unit operations.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements/Certifications:

Must have at least two years of experience in the care of mentally ill or emotionally disturbed persons in a psychiatric facility, two years as a Mental Health Worker, or two years of work experience in a position or combination of positions.
Education Required:

Graduation from High School, G.E.D or its equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Reliably commute or planning to relocate to Concord, New Hampshire.
Additional Information
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
Min $20/hr Max $22/hr
