Job Description

RR Auction is seeking an in-house Product Photography and Rare Document Scanning Specialist to join our catalog production team on a 6-month contract from September 2025 through February 2026. This position offers flexible hours and can be structured as either full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s availability.

You will report to our Creative Director and be responsible for photographing, scanning, and editing high-quality images for both print and web.

With two auctions a month featuring a combined 1,500 items, this unique role requires an artist who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Our ideal candidate has a fantastic outlook, works well both independently and collaboratively, and is passionate about bringing the history we sell to life through exemplary photography.

Responsibilities:

Scanning of rare documents, photographs, and letters
Photography of priceless 3D artifacts and collections
Expert editing and color correction of photos for true-to-life accuracy

Requirements:

Considerable expertise in photography, lighting, and editing equipment and techniques
Strong eye for color, value, composition, and visual accuracy
Keen knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Familiar with Nikon DSLR camera systems and lenses
Truly thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Self-motivated, eager to learn, and driven to achieve high standards
Hard working, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor

Experience/Education:

Product photography background
Minimum one year creative internship or relative work experience
