Position Summary:
Our client, a trusted healthcare partner in the Peterborough, NH community, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join their Family Care or Internal Medicine team. This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering high-quality clinical support in a patient-centered environment.
Under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician, the CMA will assist with medical procedures, patient intake, room preparation, and administrative documentation to support efficient care delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the clinical process, while maintaining excellent communication and teamwork with staff and providers.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Perform a range of clinical procedures, including blood draws, injections, child immunizations, and basic lab testing, within the scope of the CMA certification.

Assist physicians in patient examinations by collecting vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.

Ensure exam rooms are clean, fully stocked, and ready for patient use.

Assist with patient intake, examination prep, and mobility support during visits or procedures.

Respond to patient phone calls and relay messages per physician instructions.

Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the physician or nurse.

Accurately complete and manage medical records, including lab slips, referral forms, and documentation.

Requisition clinical supplies and ensure adequate inventory is available for routine operations.

Support nursing procedures as directed, adhering to CMA scope of practice and safety protocols.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care.

Participate in team meetings and cross-coverage as needed within clinical operations.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting

Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification/license in the state of New Hampshire (NH)

One of the following current Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications:

American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
&

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Flexibility to work as part of a collaborative clinical team
