Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years MRI experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare setting in Laconia, NH is seeking a skilled MRI technologist to ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality magnetic resonance imaging studies. This contract role plays a vital part in facilitating diagnostic excellence, maintaining clear communication with radiologists and healthcare teams, and occasionally training new technologists and patient coordinators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient safety screenings, including checks for contraindications and adherence to aseptic injection techniques.
- Produce precise, high-quality diagnostic MRI images aligned with clinical standards.
- Manage daily operational tasks such as ordering supplies, cleaning the MRI unit, and assisting with patient transport preparation.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and medical staff to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
- Provide training and guidance to new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Certification by ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT is mandatory; ARRT (R) acceptable as specified by contract.
- Current state MRI license and CPR (AHA BLS) certification required.
- Valid state drivers license necessary for local travel between multiple sites.
- Minimum of one year of MRI experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with Philips Ingenia MRI equipment is required.
- COVID vaccination and booster compliance required.
