Start-up Competitive and Recreational Gymnastics facility opening in the Spring of 2025 is looking for an experienced Team Coach to help build and launch a successful team program in the Nashua/Hudson, NH area. Our mission is to create a family friendly, supportive environment for gymnasts to not only excel in the sport, but to learn life lessons and set goals to carry with them throughout their lives. The perfect candidate would be a huge part of supporting this mission- patience, understanding, and commitment to the team is a must.
Duties
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for gymnasts, tailored to each individuals’ skills and abilities
- Provide technical instruction and feedback on the execution of gymnastics skills
- Motivate, encourage, and inspire athletes in a positive and safe learning environment
- Keep up to date with the latest gymnastics trends
- Monitor the health and safety of athletes
Attend competitions and meets as needed
- Maintain trainings and certifications as required
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their performance.
- Promote safety during all activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Manage behavior during practices and events, fostering a respectful and supportive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize events, competitions, etc.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with athletes and their families
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Competitive Gymnastics Coach
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of gymnastics rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Strong knowledge of safety practices
- Patience and understanding of athletes
- Able to motivate and inspire athletes
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide students during practices.
- Experience working with children in a gym is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in sports coaching or related fields is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students while maintaining a positive learning environment.

Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
