Psychiatric Nurse
Location: Greater Seacoast Community Health – Somersworth, NH and Portsmouth NH
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | No nights or weekends
Pay: RN - $34.00 - $39.25 based on experience level. LPN - $31.00 – $36.25 based on experience level

Greater Seacoast Community Health is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. In this role, you'll work closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers, and primary care providers to deliver integrated behavioral health care that supports the whole person. You’ll also have the opportunity to cross-train in departments like Primary Care, Medication-Assisted Recovery (MAR), and Mobile Health Van.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide psychiatric nursing triage and care to patients with behavioral health needs
- Conduct nursing assessments and administer psychiatric medications
- Support trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, evidence-based care
- Assist with crisis intervention and stabilization
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure continuity of care and improved outcomes
- Educate patients and empower self-management
- Contribute to care plans, documentation, and outreach to high-risk patients
What We’re Looking For:
- RN license preferred (LPNs with psychiatric experience will be considered).
- Psychiatric or ambulatory care experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Comfort with electronic health records and a commitment to learning
