Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Registered Nurse with school nursing experience is needed for the school year, from ASAP through June 2026, in a K-12 school setting located in Derry, NH. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing services to students, primarily within a middle school caseload, with flexibility to support other grade levels as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual nursing care for a student with complex medical needs
- Utilize critical care skills to ensure student safety and health
- Assist with morning and afternoon transportation by riding the bus to and from the students home
- Collaborate with school staff to manage health plans and coordinate care
- Adapt responsibilities as caseload requirements evolve
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license with verifiable school nursing experience
- Comfort and proficiency in working with students requiring complex medical interventions
- Strong critical care nursing skills
- Flexibility to work across various grade levels within the K-12 system
- Ability to manage transportation duties as part of daily responsibilities
Location: Derry, NH serving a diverse student population within the school system.
This position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing consistency and opportunity to make a significant impact on student health and well-being throughout the academic year.
