We are looking for a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team in Manchester, New Hampshire. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage credit assessments and portfolio oversight within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise to evaluate credit worthiness, recommend credit decisions, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, credit reports, and other data to evaluate the creditworthiness of business members.

• Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers to oversee portfolio management, including tracking covenants and monitoring financial reporting.

• Regularly assess and update credit profiles of existing members to identify changes in risk levels.

• Provide recommendations for adjustments in risk ratings based on analysis and findings.

• Organize and upload credit files into electronic document storage systems to maintain accessibility and security.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records of credit analyses and interactions with business members.

• Determine appropriate credit limits and terms for new and existing clients by conducting comprehensive evaluations.

• Stay informed about industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory updates that could impact credit risk management.

• Represent the credit union at community events and participate in volunteer opportunities to enhance organizational presence.

• Strong background in credit and collections with expertise in credit analysis and commercial credit.
• Proven ability to approve credit and assess risk within the banking and finance industry.
• Familiarity with banking compliance standards and financial regulations.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Solid understanding of banking and finance law.
• Experience in the financial services sector, particularly in credit management.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and client engagement.
