COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR BACKGROUND & MEDICAL SERVICES
Status: Non-Exempt
Summary of Job: Under the general direction of the Compliance Supervisor, this position is responsible for coordinating and managing all pre-employment screening activities, including background checks, drug screens, physical exams, vaccines, titers, and related medical services. The role ensures that all screenings are accurately set up, tracked, reviewed, and completed in compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations. This position communicates with healthcare professionals, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure timely processing of all onboarding requirements for healthcare professionals placed in temporary assignments.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Duties on the Compliance team could include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate, track, and review all required clinical compliance services for healthcare professionals assigned to upcoming placements, including but not limited to drug screenings, physical exams, vaccinations, and titers, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Initiate, coordinate, and evaluate comprehensive background checks for prospective and current employeescovering criminal history, employment verification, and education verificationusing approved consumer reporting agency platforms.
Maintain, update, and reconcile tracking lists, reports, and departmental projects, ensuring all documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in cross-training across key departmental functions to develop sufficient working knowledge of related tasks, enabling effective backup coverage and consistent operational support during team absences.
Perform additional related duties as assigned, contributing to overall team efficiency and compliance operations.
Serve as a backup to department leadership when needed, supporting workflow management and decision-making processes.
Assist in developing training programs and instructional materials to support onboarding, skill development, and process standardization for new and existing staff.
Act as a mentor and resource to team members, providing guidance, answering questions, and promoting best practices to support team performance and professional growth.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
- Works completely independently and self-directed.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PDF files, Internet and Email as needed to successfully execute role responsibilities.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple software programs as needed.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills and experience
- Ability to frequently change priorities and be able to multi-task in a high volume, deadline driven administrative role
- Strong organizational & communication skills are a must
- Positive attitude and helpful demeanor
- Works well in team focused environment
- Complete all aspects of position timely and accurately
- Attend all required training seminars and meetings at scheduled time
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must maintain an excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to build and maintain a positive rapport with customers, colleagues and vendors
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma Equivalent required
- Must have 3+ years of administrative/operations experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.
- Daily use of computer system.
Pay Range: Dependent on previous experience.

Compensation: Depending on previous experience
$20.00-$23.00/hour
