Experienced Med Surg RN needed for an adult-geriatric unit, including custodial care. Nurses must be able to manage higher patient ratios (up to 9:1) with lower acuity patients and must be flexible to float as needed. The role includes coordinating total nursing care, teaching patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to maintain professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in Med Surg and custodial settings
• Manage patient ratios up to 9:1 in a lower acuity custodial unit
• Float to Thompson Unit or other Med Surg units as required
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge needs
• Document patient care using Epic EMR system
• Work weekends and holidays as required (must cover 2 of 3: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
