Job Summary
Maternal-Child Health (MCH) Nurses deliver comprehensive care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families across the continuum of care and throughout the woman’s lifespan. Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation—MCH Nurses provide high-quality, compassionate care in alignment with AWHONN Standards for Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns, 7th Edition (2009).
Nurses in this role collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure effective, patient-centered care and optimal outcomes. They also assist obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, including circulating in the OR for cesarean sections.

- Flexibility to perform other related duties as assigned
