Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department assignment, requiring a NH or compact RN license and night shift availability.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Position is in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Cares for patients from newborn to geriatric, excluding OB
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week are required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Patient population includes pediatric cases; willingness to learn or be trained in peds is expected if lacking experience
- Floating may be requested within the hospital
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required
- Weekly orientation is provided
- Perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Local candidates are accepted at the local rate for those residing within 50 miles
- Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application
- First-time travelers are eligible for consideration

- Active NH or compact RN license is required at the time of consideration
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required
- Must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam within 72 hours of acceptance
- Three professional references, including two from leadership, are required upon commitment
- Recent emergency department experience must be documented
- Willingness to work with all age groups from newborn to geriatric
