About This Role:
Fireye is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role is ideal for a graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who has experience with a manufacturing environment. The Cost Accountant will assist in analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing cost reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and improving cost control procedures. This position will work within our current AS/400-PRMS system and support the transition to the new ERP system within the next two years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting and analyzing cost data related to materials, labor, and overhead.
- Maintain cost accounting records and ensure accurate product costing.
- Support month-end close processes including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Assist in inventory analysis and reconciliation, including daily cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Help prepare standard costs and update bills of materials as needed.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Support data migration and system transition efforts from PRMS to new ERP. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Daily work order closing and variance analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in Cost Accounting,
- Exposure to manufacturing environment a plus.
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (PRMS experience is a plus).
- Willingness and ability to learn new ERP system during the upcoming system transition.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and at all levels within the company
