Job DescriptionOur skilled nursing facility is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality therapy services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
- Facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for patients.
- Creating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients
- Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication.
- Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings
- Communicating with the dietary department in regard to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist SLP with a valid state license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
