Job Description

Job DescriptionOur skilled nursing facility is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality therapy services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Facilitating the recovery of speech, language, swallowing and cognitive function for patients.
  • Creating, administering and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients
  • Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication.
  • Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings
  • Communicating with the dietary department in regard to rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist SLP with a valid state license
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
