\nThis position provides quality nursing care to both in and out patients in the Radiology Department.
\n
\nSkills utilized in the position include assessment, communication, teaching, leadership and management of patient nursing care within Diagnostic radiology, Special procedures, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
\n
\nMust be qualified and prepared to handle all unexpected emergencies that occur during any radiological procedure.
\n
\nThis position is also responsible for the development of clinical protocols, policies and procedures governing radiological interventional procedures, patient monitoring and drug administration.
\n
\nMust be familiar with patient's bill of rights and seek assistance from other resources when needed to ensure individualized care.
\nCoordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
