Job Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department day shift assignment requiring a NH or compact RN license and 2+ years of ER experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital
- The ER has 21 beds and a 6-bed Minor Care (Fast Track) area
- Patient volume is approximately 33,000 visits per year
- Care provided in main ER, Minor Emergency Care Unit, triage, critical care, and trauma care areas
- 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm
- No local candidates allowed within a 50-mile radius
- Duties include care in main ER, minor and major emergency, triage, critical care, and trauma situations
- Pass/fail testing on Tele/ECG and Medication required
- First day readiness is expected; candidates must be clear by the Wednesday prior to start
- Holiday coverage may be required based on department needs

- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA required
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Must meet vaccine requirements: COVID (plus booster) and Flu (medical exemptions allowed)
- Returning employees must have a 6-month break from employment with the health system
