Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a SR Tax Manager job for our direct client. In this role, you will act as a key advisor in shaping global tax strategy within a fast-paced, international environment. You will manage a wide range of tax activities, including planning, compliance, audit defense, and tax accounting, while leveraging AI-enabled efficiencies to deliver insights and improve processes. This position plays a critical role in driving strategic initiatives that impact organizational growth and profitability.
SR Tax Manager job responsibilities:
- Design and implement tax-efficient structures for cross-border operations and bespoke projects
- Advise leadership on tax implications of strategic initiatives and major contracts
- Monitor and interpret legislative changes across domestic and international jurisdictions
- Lead and manage tax audits, prepare documentation, and defend positions with regulatory authorities
- Manage external advisors and ensure timely completion of global tax filings
- Direct international tax provision processes and ensure accurate accounting and disclosures
- Develop and maintain global transfer pricing documentation and analyses
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams on intercompany pricing and compliance
- Use AI tools to automate tax research, documentation, and reporting workflows
- Identify and implement emerging tax technologies and AI-driven efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive tax experience in corporate or public accounting environments
- Broad expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global setting
- Proficiency in tax accounting, research, compliance software, and Excel; Oracle experience a plus
- Experience using Copilot/generative AI for tax calculations and documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable insights
- CPA, JD, or MST preferred
