Veterinary Technician (CVT) Humane Society for Greater Nashua
Serving Shelter Pets & Our Community
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is looking for a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with a mission-driven purposehelping shelter animals receive the best care possible while also serving pets in our community through low-cost clinics.
What Youll Do:
Provide high-quality medical care to shelter animals, from intake exams to ongoing treatments.
Assist in spay/neuter surgeries, dentals with extractions, and other procedures.
Support our Community Clinicsincluding vaccine clinics, wellness checks, and spay/neuter programs.
Administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and perform laboratory tests.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment.
What Were Looking For:
Certified Veterinary Technician (or eligibility to become certified in NH).
Strong technical and animal handling skills. Required skills include ability to draw blood, place IV catheters, prep patients for surgery, perform dental cleanings and take dental x-rays, position patients for radiographs, and perform basic in-house laboratory work.
Interact with clients and other Humane Society Staff in a professional manner.
