Key Responsibilities
1. Examination & Assessment
• Perform focused physical examinations and patient observations consistent with SSA disability criteria.
• Obtain concise medical histories relevant to functional impairment.
• Conduct musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, or other system‐specific assessments as required by the exam type.
• Administer basic diagnostic tests when required (e.g., ROM measurements, vision screening, grip strength).
Documentation & Reporting
• Produce clear, objective, and comprehensive reports that address functional limitations, symptom consistency, and exam findings.
• Document all findings in the electronic medical record in accordance with SSA and clinic standards.
• Ensure reports are neutral, evidence‐based, and free of advocacy, consistent with SSA expectations.
• Complete all documentation within required turnaround times.
Qualifications
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing; board‐certified Nurse Practitioner.
• Active state NP license and DEA (if required by state, though prescribing is not part of this role).
• Experience in primary care, urgent care, occupational health, disability evaluations, or related fields preferred.
• Strong skills in physical assessment, documentation, and clinical reasoning.
• Ability to produce concise, defensible, and objective medical documentation.
