Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
\n
• Work 3-12 hour shifts with every other weekend requirement or 4-week shift schedule
\n• Patient ratio of 5:1
\n• Provide care for cardiac step-down patients from CSSU and IVCU, med/surg telemetry, and stroke overflow
\n• Manage patients with conditions including chest pain r/o, CHF, COPD cardiac management, chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-pap
\n• Care for patients with thoracentesis, peritoneal dialysis, tracheostomies, pacemakers, and CIWA protocols
\n• Cannot take patients post cardiac catheterization lab unless radial artery was used
\n• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Sara steady systems, high-flow oxygen, bipap, and Kangaroo pumps
\n• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
\n• Participate in bedside shift rounds and handoff procedures
\n• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
\n• Must be proficient in telemetry monitoring
\n• Professional dress code required
\n• 20-bed unit with team staffing of 4 RNs with free charge nurse, 2 LNAs, and unit clerk
