A K-12 school in Laconia, NH, is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. This contract position runs from February 23, 2026, through the end of the school year, offering a commitment of 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities include delivering individualized and group occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 15 students, with an additional 12 students receiving support through Response to Intervention (RTI) programs. Collaboration is a key component, as some therapy sessions will be conducted jointly with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to maximize student outcomes. The role focuses on supporting student development and functional performance within the school setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure or certification to practice in New Hampshire
- Experience working with K-8 student populations in school environments
- Proven ability to design and implement effective therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs and group settings
- Familiarity with RTI models and interdisciplinary collaboration within schools
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, educators, and support staff
