Franklin Pierce University has an opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join our team.
Technical Support Specialist:
Working with IT staff providing the day-to-day support of our Rindge and CGPS campuses, this 12-month, full-time position is an essential member of the team. Reporting to the Technical Support Services Manager, this position is responsible for providing help desk services and technical support to students, staff, faculty and othere constituents at Rindge and CGPS campuses. The Technical Support Specialist (1) is also responsible for assisting with client computer and software installations and A/V support for the institution.
Qualifications and Experience:
Meeting the needs of a multi-campus environment, the successful applicant will need to have:
- At least a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in providing technical support, preferably in a higher education setting,
- Be physically able to lift materials of up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis,
- Good customer service, with previous experience working with a highly diverse customer base,
- Possess excellent communication skills,
- An Associate’s in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred, with technical certifications and experience considered.
It is important to you are able to work within a team environment as well as independently and are able to complete projects within a schedule timeframe.
